Scott Stilwell writes songs about everyday things. However, don't be fooled by “everyday things”; the songs aren’t just about the mundane trappings of life. Life is messy and glorious and scary and thrilling…sometimes all at the same time.

Scott's songs, are in their basic form, folk songs, rooted in stories. They give glimpses into life, based on the concept that art is personal, inviting the listener into a shared experience.

Born and raised in Iowa, Scott approaches his songs with a
Mid-Western sensibility. Having spent time over the years in Nashville, his songs also reflect the struggle and heartache that lives in every songwriter. Creative passion fuels the spirit and initiates the drive to create that "next great song", but honestly, any song will do, because it's what songwriters do.
